Funny, I'd state the exact opposite.
There is nothing to rival tonal range and depth of a
diavography output and certainly nothing as archival,
especially not conventional RA-4 photo paper.
And printing with an Epson 2000 P you have 100 years.
Under the light of a fluo tube in an interior room
under glass, agreed, but that is more than any of the
RA-4 paper prints are guaranteed for.
In my opinion RA-4 is almost the last in line if it
goes for archival stability. And certainly inferior
in all respects to a well done diavography.

Easy. Because I have setups, where film is included
and contact sheets plus prints go extra.
This saves me around 100 Deutschmarks per week.
Pays the camera during the first year just in film
savings, not to mention the many other advantages.

Or more. When the Duesseldorf Airport exploded, I was there.
Shot all the pictures for a grand rapids into the hall of fame.
Finished shooting at 8 pm. Rushed to my studio for processing.
Rushed to Cologne where a colleague had a film scanner
(at that time not everybody had one). Had the stuff scanned
and wired by 1 am at night. Lost 5 hours in getting it to
Hamburg this way. Still made nice 6000 Deutschmarks.
But I could have doubled this for every hour I had delivered
before 1 am at night. Got your calculators ready....?
Yeah, ouch.
