I can't speak for Finland, but here in the US we have homeowners', or
tenants' for those that do not own their homes, insurance. I have an
"all risk floater" on my homeowner's policy that covers my camera gear
against everything.
Everything includes the time my wife took my OM-1 to a baby shower and
got it full of watermelon juice. (I still don't know how that
happened!) I sent it Olympus for cleaning and the insurance company
paid the bill. The cost is not very high with my Insurance Company.
When I went EOS I took my gear to the agent's office and listed it all
so it too is covered.

Everybody has a photographic memory. Some just don't have any film.
