Ron:

First, I agree with your decision to get the 28-135 IS, it's a fine general
purpose lens and it's also my "walkin' around" lens.  As I recall when I had
an A2e, and the few times I used the built-in flash, the lens hood of the
28-135 and/or if it was zoomed out, would block the lower portion of the
built-in flash emission.  I occasionally use an Elan II now and I've pretty
much conditioned myself to forget that it even has a built-in flash...go
with a shoe mounted unit.
