Yes, but only at close distances. I tested it a while back, as I
recall the shadow begins to show at about 60cm (2') at the long end
(135mm) and at about 150cm (5') at the short end (28mm).
I never found that much of a problem, but then I rarely used the
built-in flash anyway - your mileage may vary.
Just remember to remove the lens hood when using the flash --
with it the blockage is much worse (I didn't measure it though).
By the way, EOS5 has one major problem with IS lenses: CF4=1 doesn't
work properly with IS. If you're not used to CF4 anyway, it's a
non-issue, but if you've come to depend on it, it may be a real pain.
(The problem has been fixed in newer bodies - everything designed
since 1993 I think.)
Nonetheless, I think the 28-135IS is a fantastic all-purpose
walk-around lens.
I have no experience with the Tokina but I suspect it'd have the
same problem, at least in the short end.
