I wonder the same thing...since the #5 setting of this C.Fn. refers to Image
Stabilization, maybe the "lens AF stop button" is something only on IS
lenses? I don't have any IS lenses...

Which mode are you having trouble with? If you have a 7E, do you have ECF
switched off?
