Take warm clothes when you go. It is much colder up on the mountains than on
the ground. The weather on Washington can turn bad very fast. In early July
there will probably still be snow in Tuckerman's ravine.
As to filters, I would take a polarizer and uv filter. It will photograph
bluer than it appears if you don't. The tree line is at about 3500 feet so
you are soon out in the open. It has been a while since I climbed there so I
don't remember what birds were around. Again don't forget the warm clothes
when you go hiking up in the mountains. It can be dangerous.
