I suppose I should have mentioned that I use this for the NP-E2 Ni-MH pack; it
has adjustable contacts (and alligator clips if you need them) so hooking up the
battery pack is no problem. The C777 offers auto-adjustable current and has a
full-discharge feature for maintaining maximum capacity in Ni-Cd and Ni-MH
batteries, and a temperature sensor to prevent overheating. Too bad it won't
work for my laptop battery!

For the AA magazine I just use lithium AAs (*much* lighter than the Ni-MH pack).
