I have the Scan Dual II. I use it with my PowerBook G3 and PowerMac G3
computers. The USB feature is great, no worrying about the SCSI chain.

Comments:

  * Scan speed is very slow. About 2-5 minutes a scan, depending on the settings
  * Scan quality seems high for a unit at this price level (<$500)
  * "Dual" refers to 35mm and APS, not to medium format :(
  * I've scanned slides almost exclusively, colors seem a little
supersaturated, but I'm using Velvia, which is tricky to scan and
isn't known for its subtlety either.
  * Negs seem fine. You can save your own color calibration profiles,
it doesn't seem to come with any specific ones.
