Yes Karen, this _is_ OT ... however all Canon EOS users (except D30 users)
have negatives and/or slides ... and many are interested in starting to
experiment with a digital darkroom.  As a very new member of the EOS list
maybe I should just stand quietly in a corner, but this one time I want to
express an _opinion_:  I enjoy an occassional off topic thread if it doesn't
dgenerate into a flame exchange.  OT posts are much more tolerable than the
prissy posts of some self-appointed topic enforcer.  Just my two cents worth.

Your OT posts about the Dimage scanners have been helpful to me in making
my choice.  Thanks.
