I have the 28-135 and the Kenko 1.4x Pro 300 TC, and I would NEVER have
considered this a viable pair because the 28-135 is slow to begin with. I've
wonderd why Canon's 1.4 costs more than the 2x, strangely the Kenko 1.4x
only has 5 elements and the 2x has 7.

And another thing to consider before using the Kenko anyway on your lens -
since it's made to match the Canon "white" lenses, it looks funny with a
black lens.

Undoubtedly, the 1.4 has better final quality than the 2x. I use my Kenko
1.4 with the Canon 70-200/2.8 and 300/4 and have been pleased with the
results.
