While I'm a ways off from actually buying a D30, I am certainly interested in what owners have had to say about this new digital and appreciate the information that's been shared on this list. I was aware that there were some concerns about general focusing speed, however I didn't know that the D30 also had some problems in lower light situations (more so than usually associate with that condition). It seems that Michael Reichmann has found a solution (for him) and that's "illuminated" at his Luminous Landscape site. He has found that the ST-E2 Speedlight Transmitter helps with low light focusing problems. This will also work with the EOS 3 and 1v enabling them to focus in near-dark situations.
