First:  last time I checked, Canon US's stated policy
was that they would honor the warranty on any Canon
product purchased in the US, as long as you had a
receipt proving the purchase location and date.  Canon
USA is under no legal obligation to do this, so you
might want to verify that this is still their policy.

Second:  Can't say about Adorama, but I would feel
pretty confident about buying gray market CANON
equipment from B&H, even if Canon decides not to honor
the warranty.  BTW, I've bought a lot of gray market
stuff from B&H, and never needed repair on any of it.
