The P(ower)B(ooster) E1 has a vertical shutter release
and AE lock button, but no control dial, FE lock or
focus point selector. HOWEVER, on your 1n none of
those controls will work even if you do get a PB-E2,
because the 1n body doesn't have the electrical
contacts that correspond to them.
Nor can you use the extra high speed mode of the PB-E2
/Ni-MH battery pack with the 1n.
So if you need a booster, save your money and buy the
E1 version, unless you plan an upgrade to a 3 or 1v in
the near future.
