FWIW, the article on IR photography in EOS magazine (Sept 2000) lists
the EOS 30/Elan 7 as one of the EOS camertas that is problematic with
IR film. They have 3 levels:
Problem-free: EOS 1 and all variants, EOS 10, 600, 620, 650, 700,
750, 850, RT
Small Problem: EOS 1000, 1000F, N and FN
Bigger problem: EOS 100, 5, 50/E, 500/N, 5000, 30, 300 and 3000.
However they say that people report different things with various
cameras, so you should go out and try it. Not much to lose. They
also point out that these problems are only with true IR films. No
problems with Ilford SFX or Konica 750 films.
