I recently purchased a grey market canon 70-200/4 L lens from
adorama. Seems like a well built lens except that the inner zoom
barrel seems a little loose. It rattles when shaken and it makes
some noise when it autofocuses--especially if its hunting for focus.
Did I get one that quality control missed or am I just being to
picky? This is my first L lens so I'm not sure what to expect.
Maybe this is normal for longer focal length metal lenses--especially
zooms. My 85/1.8 is quieter focusing and has no loose rattle, but
then, its a fixed focal length lens too. Should I send my lens back
and hope for a better one? Thanks.
