HI,
I used to have Canon FD camera a long time ago - AE1P with 50mm l.8 lens and
I can tell you that that lens was very sharp and contarsty, probably better
than 50mm 1.8 II I have now for EOS. But not that much better, at least
optically. Built - is a different story.
