    I just want to add here that I bought a Minolta with 50mm 1.4 MC lens in
1970 and it had multi-coatings on it. Darned fine lens too. But not up to
Canon's latest lenses. I always thought Minolta was one of the first to
offer multi-coated lenses. I've never heard anything about Pentax being
first, or inventing any coatings...
