Tom,

I actually have really liked the Rebel 2000, it was a great camera for me to 
start with.  The things I don't like about it are the slow fps and the rather 
slow autofocus (even with a USM lens) when trying to track moving objects, 
like flying birds.  I also don't like the ability to select the metering 
method...as mentioned earlier the metering method is tied to the camera mode.  
I'm thinking about keeping mine as a backup body when I decide to upgrade....
