My dumb mistake! Reading back I see you're correct, and I had thought
the comment was in general about evaluative metering, and that rang a
bell becuase of the lab's comment... sorry.

I brought it up because the lab's comment was about the slide itself.
You're correct, I should go back and examine the slide itself with a
loupe. I was believing what the lab told me, moreover, I thought
that both the cheap and expensive printing of those slides supported
the comment. (I did both)

Thanks, and thanks! I don't have full Photoshop yet, but can still
experiment a bit in the apps I do have, which I will do. Not sure I
can justify the $750 for PS just now, but am curious about the new PS
Elements coming out.
