The Arca-Swiss ballhead uses this great wedge-type quick-release system.
Very quick, very secure, and very adaptable to various types of cameras.
Really Right Stuff makes great mounts for the EOS cameras:

but it'd be great if the rails for the AS system were integrated into the
grip itself, rather than attaching an adaptor. Of course, this is something
only AS religious fanatics would want. But since most pro camera folks seem
to use the AS system, I don't see why it shouldn't be part of a pro system.
