Well, my trusty EOS 10 has never done anything bad, but this time it
did. I pushed rewind at frame 21 - no use shooting to finish a roll, and
after some motor winding, I opened the back to remove film, and - arrgggg,
film was still visible. I pushed rewind again, and it only jogged the film a
bit. I hadda push it one more time to get it into cassette. My battery is
fresh, and I've never had this problem before.
The only thing I can say, is I'll pay more attention in future to the
length of the rewind sound, and perhaps push it one more time just to be
sure. I think I might have lost the first half of my roll, and they were of
a special parade here in Japan! I'm just sooo mad about losing all those
shots. I guess all I can do now is get it processed and hope for the best.
The back was opened in quite low light, so I might manage to get some prints
from some of those first shots.
I've heard of this happening before to someone, never thought much of
it, my EOS 10 has low miles on it. Is there a fix? Is it only the 10 that
does this sometimes?
Be careful out there...
