HI!

The studio I use at the school I go for my photography classes have 2 White
Lightning X2400 units with AC power, and I have an Elan II with a 550 EX.
Also, there are some hot lights as well.

I do not have the hot shoe to pc adapter (and do not have time till this
weekend to get one) and am thinkign about using my flash on top of camera
and using 1/32 power to trigger the optical slaves on the strobes. I have a
Minolta Flash meter that I will be using. Do you think 1/32 power will have
any effect on the picture when at least one of the strobes will be in full
power (1000ws)? Also, maybe I can use the frontal flash as more additional
fill light though I was thinking of setting up the lights as one to the
right and one to the left of camera. Any ideas how I should set this up
better? I also was thinking about using some of the hotlights to wash out
the white background.

This is going to be for some dancing pictures that involves a couple jumping
in air. According to website ( http://www.white-lightning.com/x2400.html ),
the (t.5 method) flash duration is 1/1300 which should be fine for freezing
the action (though I am not sure what this method is). Maybe I can use some
of the good ones to get some more people to buy Canons :-)
