One difference that hasn't been pointed out between the EOS-1v and the EOS-3 is the 
ability of the EOS-1v to store exposure data, if attached to a computer.  Using this, 
if someone asks you information about a particular photo, you can say, with certainty, 
"it was taken at 1/90 at f/8".

Admittedly not a feature that would encourage one to spend an extra $800 or so on, but 
may be taken in consideration with all the other differences (weather sealing, higher 
FPS, etc.).
