During the CPS meeting last week we were told that the
firmware file is encrypted in a way that very likely
makes improvements to the crippled AF impossible.
So... no revision in sight.
Approximately around August to October CPS staff reckons
to see two new bodies. One will be a higher resolution
and the other a speedier thing for sports shooters.
No, full frame is not expected, but a factor of 1.2 seems
possible. The EOS-1v seems likely to be the basis for this
new toy, and price speculations range from USD 5000 to
a more likely USD 8000.
Be aware, all this is speculation based on few informations
that CPS staff has. Japan seems very tight in spreading
information, but on the other hand we all know that Canon
does deliver the day they say they will.
I (personally) expect the new thing to be out in
September for around USD 7500.
