I have owned one for about 4 months.

Dislikes (in random order):

1) poor flash results (even with 550EX)
2) poor autofocus performance (even with my 200/2.8L and 300/2.8L)
3) limited metering flexibility (no spot meter!)
4) bad software (in particular, the RAW format x-lators are glacially slow)

All this said, would I buy one again? In a heartbeat!

1) The image quality is stunning...high-res JPEG images are virtually
indistinguishable from the RAW images (for my purposes)
2) The camera is rightfully not billed by Canon as a "pro" model. But
I am not a "pro" model, either. :-)
3) The camera handles very nicely, and once you've shot a few images
(my meter reads close to 5,000 images to date) you learn to deal with
the quirks.
4) Once I got my new 1GB Microdrive, you'll have to pry my D-30 from
my cold, dead fingers. Of course, were there to be a full-frame, 6mpx
1V-based body... :D

Cheers,
Steve
