On the flash part of your question, I think the obvious choice would be the
540EZ for the A2e. The 540 is the only EZ model currently in production
and the only one that does A-TTL reciprocating with the A2e's flash mode.
If you think however, that you may be moving on to other more current EOS
models (no offense, my EOS 5 is the camera I use the most) you may want to
look at a flash that will do E-TTL such as the new 420 EX. I've heard they
are nice units and do bounce, swivel and can be used as a wireless "slave"
unit later on.
