Hi,
I have a 300 2.8 non IS but do not experiment such a problem.
There is a Custom function on the EOS 3 that "enlarge" the AF captor
whenused with longer lens that 300mm. You should set it correctly may-be.
When using the TC 2x only the central captor will work properly,
especially in low light.
