Oops--sloppy editing there. I usually try to be more careful.

In any case, the BP-300 fits fairly tightly, but for serious tripod use I'd
probably take it off. . . . Actually, the lenses I most often use on a tripod
have collars anyway, so the BP isn't an issue--it's actually an advantage, even
though it lacks its own main dial. But if I were going to use a lightweight
mid-range zoom on a tripod, I don't think the flex with the BP-300 would be much
of a problem.
