I've had mine for 6 mos too, and love it too! The BP-300 really adds
to its feel for me, although it has introduced a dilemma of neckstrap
vs handstrap. I thought I would just use it in a zoom holster with
the handstrap, but it doesn't fit mine, (oh brother *another* $50!!)
and the neckstrap does have a few advantages, like alternating with
binoculars.
Oh, and I already lost the remote plug. It *was* a pain to remove,
and then keep track of!! I knew its loss was inevitable and certainly
don't miss it.. When I'm in dusty windy environs, I put a little
electrical tape over the jack.
