Hi:
For another 30 to 40 bucks, you should be able to get 100-300 USM. Besides,
70-200 USM have discontinued for quite some time. I'm not sure if the place
you're living is humid or not. If it is, make sure there isn't any fungus
on the lens. last time, I saw one being sold as used in one local store for
USD 200.
