Frankly, I do not know. All I *know* is, that my 80A doesn't seem to affect
the AF assist function. But I'm not sure why. Some possible explanations:
- The 80A doesn't block red light completely, it just cuts it down. So, if
the intensity of the AF assist beam is way more than needed, there would
still be enough left for the AF to work.
- The 80A might not block near IR light as much as the visible red light.
