Both my Canon zooms - the 28-135 IS and the 75-300 - have this slight
play in the zoom barrels. My Tamron 20-40, which has a much shorter
"throw, " does not. The 28-90mm that comes in the Elan 7 kit, has a
*lot* of play. I'd almost call it "slop."
