Absolutely. As for the choice between 50 and 85mm. My choice would be for 
the 50mm, except if your low light work is mostly portrait. Even then,
all but real close portraits can be done with a 50mm, IMHO. Just don't
get closer than 1.5 - 2 meters to your subject, and avoid people with 
big noses ;-) If everything else fails, you can always use the 50mm 
from the same position you would used the 85mm. Cropping is easy,
adding the missing coverage of the 85 OTOH is real difficult ;-)
Besides, the 50 is still 2/3 stop faster than the 85. The 85 is an 
excellent lens, as is the 50. I own both of them, but in my case the
50mm gets used a lot more than the 85.
