| I have the Manfrotto 454 Micro Positioning Plate (Bogen 3419).
| This has a worm drive. Very useful for fine adjustment.

Like Keith, I also use the Manfrotto 454. I took some advice from another
list member on this and while awaiting his reply I placed an order for
another make (Novoflex Castell-Mini). When his reply came through he said
not to consider that particular model as it was a bit 'flimsy'. Also, with
the EOS 30 having an off-centre tripod socket, it was not stable. He was
correct and I promptly returned it for the Manfrotto which is much sturdier.
