Thanks for all of your input, both here and off-line. Between your
responses to me and other comments on IS lenses, I have decided that the
28-135IS is the lens to buy for my Elan 7E. A local store has one in stock
at a good price, I will go today at lunch and check it out and hopefully own
it by the end of the day.
Now I really need to decide if 28 is wide enough. I have always been a tele
kind of guy, feeling the longer is better. I guess it's a macho thing, I
don't know. I guess I need to play with the G1 digital at it's widest
setting for a couple of days and try to develop a "wide eye" and see what I
can learn.
