A feature I'm missing in the D30 is an orientation sensor
(for horizontal / vertical). I spent a lot of time on my
recent trip to LV and Utah rotating vertical images to their
proper orientation so that viewing on a TV screen is enjoyable.
The old-fashioned way of doing this would be using a
mercury-type switch, but nowadays, this can be done in
silicon using micro-mechanical sensors without much of a
weight penalty.
