I'm new to this list and relatively new to the EOS line. I've recently
developed and interest in the 630 and have been tracking them on eBay. Was
wonder'in what the experts here think of this old EOS. Current original
owners: has it been RELIABLE? Past owners: did the 630 serve you well?
Does this camera have inherent weak points (ie command dial on the A2), or
 common age-related problems?

 Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I used to have a 630 and it was a wonderful camera. Only reason I sold it -
was to get a 1n. But still missed it do much, so I got an RT - 630 plus fixed
mirror and extra functions. Never a problem with either. Good meter, lots of
Pro features. AF maybe a bit on a slower side, but worked for me and I do a
lot of equestrian photography.
I'd recomend 630 in a heartbeat. Just keep in mind - even though it's a well
made camera - it's rather old and some problems may occur. But I was lucky so
far.
Actually I had more problems with newer bodies - like ElanIIE.
