Hi Gary,

I've owned mine since 1999 and it's a great little lens. I've dropped the
lens once -- mounted on an EOS500N then... the hood saved it. The build is
quite good and is a great compact lens. I don't really know what else to say
about it but I'd say that if mine craps out, I might just buy back another.

The image quality is great (for the price you pay) and the 24mm is really
nice imho. It does vignette at 24mm with a standard 67mm hoya polarizer
though. I haven't seen any available used so my guess is everyone who owns
one ain't parting with it yet. Actually I don't really wish it were wider or
longer. I only wish it is faster (I own the 70-200 2.8 so...).
