I sent this and it seems neither to have been posted nor returned to me as a
problem, so I will try again. Apologies if it ends up appearing twice.
I have recently tried slide film for the first time (Results are incredibly
vibrant on a light table and I will definitely be doing more of that, but
that's another story). For my first roll of Velvia I tried rating at
different ISOs to see how my Elan 7 metered and to see where I liked it rated
best. At any rate, I noticed that for fairly close partial stops (less than
the 1/2 stops the camera is graduated in) like ISO 40 vs 50 or 50 vs 64 the
indicated proper exposures do not necesarily change...I presume because the
difference is below the 1/2 stop calibrations of the camera which therefore
can not make the change. What I am wondering is if even if the camera says
the correct exposure at ISO 50 and 40 is the same, is there really no
difference in the exposure or is the camera internally exposing say 1/3 or so
stop differently but can't tell you it is because of the 1/2 stop
calibration? Not sure if I am expressing this well or not!
