There is at least one useful thing the 1v brings to the table compared to
3. I find the quick focus point select button, Located just left of the
normal focus point button, is wonderful for shooting games (the eos-3 does
not have this button). I set the CF to have the centre spot as the active
one only when the button is pressed. When the button is held in, the
centre spot is the only one active, I can then lock onto a given player,
release the button and let servo focus go back to tracking the player with
all focus spots back in action.
The 1v with a booster is just as fast as the 1nRS, with a slight decrease
in speed will auto focus between each shot, something the RS will not do.
