In follow up to my last question about flash....what is the best way to get
rid of the black background when doing macro work with flash. On my first
try I used Velvia and f22 with 1/125 shutter speed and a 420 EX flash on my
Elan 7. The insects were framed pretty tightly but still there was a good
deal of black (indoors ina botanical conservatory).. I was thinking of using
Provia at ISO 100 instead of Velvia and perhaps giving up some depth of field
and shooting at f11 or 16 but am not sure how much that would help. Are
these likely to fix the problem or is a secnd flash most likely to be the
biggest benefit (that is what led me to the prior posts questions about
wireless)?
