Some time ago I traded ALL but one of my Nikon FTn bodies (x-sync = 1/60th) for a brace of FM2n bodies (x-sync = 1/250) because I was shooting A LOT of outdoor sports with ISO 400 film in very contrasty situations and wanted fill flash to ameliorate the contrast so my prints would be within the repro range of the books I was shooting for. At the time I really wanted the Nikon F3HP (x-sync = 1/80) but sacrificed a more robust motor drive, interchangeable finders, high eyepoint, aperture priority AE, and an 80/20 semi-spot meter pattern just for the x-sync. I shot with those babies daily for a decade and never regretted my decision. Later, when money was around I got the F3 too, for my own pleasure, but that's another OT tale. -- regards, Henry Posner Director of Sales and Training B&H Photo-Video, and Pro-Audio Inc. http://www.bhphotovideo.com * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
