"Now that's a interesting group! I wonder I got so fed-up with it after
_subscribing to the EOS lists? Maybe because here you can learn
something useful about photography and your gear, instead of reading
post of guys who refuse to see their camera's faults and spend an entire
afternoon drooling about how sharp the photos their cameras take are.
Sorry to go off-topic, but after the LUG experience I just wanted to
share with the group how much I like it and how much I've learned with
it.

P.S. I have nothing against Leica. I used to own one. I just didn't
think it was "perfect". Good? Yes. Perfect? Definitely not."
Well I'll distinguish between LUG members and Leica gear. As it happens in
almost every list there some members in the LUG that are plenty of arrogance
and have scorn for any other equipment. There are members who participate
three or four times every day making the LUG very often boring. Of course if
someone dare to discuss their opinions is inmediatly pursuited and rejected.
But many others have very sensible and interesting opinions. Normally an old
Leica user is a experimented photographer. Anyway the number of stupid guys
is relevantly bigger there.But every list has his "master of the list" and
this is unavoidable.
Other thing is Leica material. The camera is a absolutely perfect
manufactured anachronism that works rightly in his limits and is serviced
during his whole life. And lens? Referring M lens, not every R lenses, that
for the M rangefinder are simply the best I've known in my life and I own
four Canon L lenses and many Nikkor and Carl Zeiss. I`m not biased and use
either a Canon EOS 1V or D30 and a Leica M6.
The matter is easy: be very respectful in your list with other's brand
equipment. If you own a Canon it is not necesary to declare, for example,
that Nikon (or ridiculously written N****) is crap. An that is true in every
list. Here we are to teach or learn about our Canon equipment and share our
experience. All of us independtly of our age, experience, language or skill,
are abble to help other members without scorn other's choices. Amen.
