Umm, sky???  Wouldn't that be infinity?  Does your flash assist reach that
far *g*?  And for the pond, I would say only if you are shooting straight
down at it or there are lots of things floating in it; otherwise, the focus
pattern would just be reflected away.  Or am I missing something?
