Hi,

The 28-105 is a good lens and should give acceptable results. I think it's
your best lens.

I think the other lenses are so-so, in terms of resolution and contrast,
but should probably deliver good 4 X 6 pictures.

Make sure you don't move, or try a tripod. Even at 1/125 and faster, you
have to be careful.

I also suggest that you remove any "lens protection filters" you may have
on your lenses, and also use a lens hood to reduce flare and protect your
lenses.

I get very good pictures from my 20/2.8 and 28-135 IS lenses (similar in
quality to your 28-105), and outstanding pictures from my 100-400 IS lens,
in my opinion, but what's good for me may not be for you...

Don't despair.

Pierre
