The 28-105 and 75-300 should give you good to excellent 4x6 and 5x7 when
stopped down a bit. I have noticed that not all labs provide a sharp print
from a sharp negative. Check your negatives with a 10x loupe if possible. For
really crisp and contrasty 8x10 (consistent) I realized that I either needed
to use prime lenses or L lenses. I can be rather picky about the B&W prints I
produce in my darkroom.
