I have the following C.Fn's set to 1: 1, 2, 6, 8, and 11. I also have C.Fn 7 set to 2 (to cancel the built-in flash's AF assist light). I use C.Fn 1=1 because I don't need silent rewind; 2=1 because I shoot a lot of black & white film and it's nice to have an exposed leader; 6=1 because...uh...because there's no reason not to, I guess; and 8=1 and 11=1 because that's how the camera should work by default (IMO).
