I upgraded from a 420EX to a 550EX yesterday and I'll be shooting my first high school football tonight with the flash, a D30 and Sigma 70-200 2.8 HSM EX tonight.
I wasn't really happy with my nighttime sports options with the 420, although it is a nice flash. I would appreciate any suggestions on the best flash (manual or ETTL .. or 1/2 power?) and camera (manual, TV?) settings. ISO? BTW, the field is rather dark. Shots without flash are not very pleasant looking.
