You may be able to find a used 1n in your price
range. I'd recommend that over the 1, better
metering and 5 focus points instead of 1. On
the other hand, my local store has 2 EOS 1
bodies new in the box for $699. Apparently,
Canon USA in California found a few that hadn't
been sold in storage somewhere, and released
them. Of course, these would be under
warranty...
