Hey Erwin,

For landscapes you are right, you don't need high FPS bodies, go with simple
and durable bodies. As I mentioned before you could just buy a second EOS
50e and be happy with two bodies that work the same.

To get a spot meter why not just buy a nice used handheld meter like a
Pentax Digital Spotmeter. With a 1 degree FOV this is as good as it gets.
I got one from my wife for Christmas 20 years ago and still use and cherish
it. They are reliable and cheap, under $200USD. Or you could get one of
the new plastic bodied spotmeters from Sekonic or Minolta but look carefully
as they are not all real spotmeters, some models are only 10 degrees and not
true spots! The new models are quite good and are capable of more than the
older Pentax and Minolta spots as they have memories and averaging
functions. For me this is less useful but for some who don't use handhelds
often these features can be very useful.

The EOS 1 and EOS 1n cannot use E-TTS flash metering. Only the newer bodies
like your EOS 50e, lan 7, EOS 3, and EOS 1V have E-TTS capability.

Chip Louie
